 Guest Speaker Presentation

Captive insurance has become an intriguing risk management option, especially in Connecticut, where the state is actively promoting Connecticut as the place for captive insurance companies. This presentation will discuss the basics of captive insurance, including what it is, why it may be a good alternative to traditional insurance, and who might be a good candidate to self-insure through a captive insurance company. The presentation will also include discussion regarding the process of establishing a captive insurance company, as well as exploring specific issues to be considered by those already involved with, or just now considering, a captive.
